What the report contains

  1. 01

    Structure

Plot holes, continuity errors, setup/payoff failures and subplot drift — with chapter and scene locations.

  2. 02

    POV discipline

Head-hopping, filter-word padding and POV violations, the silent ones included.

  3. 03

    Pacing map

Where the tension sags and where the reader exits, scene by scene.

  4. 04

    Prose patterns

Metaphor density per chapter, epistemic overreach (characters or narration knowing things they shouldn't), repeated constructions.

  5. 05

    Character drift

Voice and motivation departures, tracked per character.

  6. 06

    Prioritized fixes

What to change first, what to leave alone, and why.

Example

What a report looks like for a passage.

Finding 12 · POV break · Ch. 3, Sc. 2

Dana pocketed the gallery key while Marcus argued with the guard about parking. She had rehearsed this a hundred times, and her hands were steady. Marcus watched her go and wondered, not for the first time, whether she'd ever planned to split anything at all.

Problem: The scene is anchored in Dana's point of view. The last sentence jumps into Marcus's head ("wondered") mid-scene: a silent head-hop.

Fix: Keep the doubt, but show it from outside: "Marcus watched her go. He didn't smile." Or move his thought to a scene he narrates.

Representative fragments, prepared on a synthetic passage. Client reports carry chapter locations tuned to their manuscript.

Why Us

The audit runs on the same QA system I use on my own books before they go to my external reviewer, whose chapter ratings have sat at 9.6 to 9.9 across a full series. The system finds the defects; we do the read and write the plan. You get both.

Founding terms

Not included

No ghostwriting, no line-edit rewriting of your sentences, no promises about sales or bestseller lists. If a finding requires rewriting a scene, the report tells you which scene and what the fix is. The writing stays yours.
